The Sardinia Church of Christ was founded in the year 1910.
There were a few members of the church living in and about Sardinia,
and they desired a closer fellowship as members of the church,
and to that end, secured services of Elder John P. Galvin in a series
of meetings held at the Feike Opera House. During the meetings it was
decided to organize into a permanent congregation and the Opera House
was used as the regular meeting place. In 1912 the church dedicated
a building on Main Street to the service of the Lord.
Over the years the ministry of Sardinia Church of Christ has continued
to develop and expand. In 1988 we built a multi-purpose building next
to the original church on Main Street to provide more room for Sunday
School Classes and to have a larger area for dinners and other activities.
In 1990 we began having dual worship services in the morning to accommodate
growing crowds. We added multi-media presentations to enhance worship
with the desire to attract more people to our church.
In August of 2008 we moved from the old location on Main Street to new
facilities located on Bachman Drive. God is opening doors in tremendous
ways through the tool of these facilities. We are experiencing many
decisions for Jesus Christ, the largest attendance in the history of the
church and many more blessings. We feel we have just tapped the potential
of this property and the ministry opportunities afforded us by God.
