The New Testament describes the church as a body, of which every believer is a vital part!  At SCC, we believe this means we are a team - and on this team everyone plays!  Below are the many ways you can get involved serving with the SCC team and using your gifts to build up the body!

Children’s Ministry
Check-In
Welcoming parents and their children to SCC and helping the children transition to their respective rooms.  Our check-in system helps reassure parents that their child is taken care of and is a first step for new families to get to know who we are at SCC before service.
(30 minute time commitment)

Nursery
Caring for the needs and attention of little ones so their parents can be spiritually refreshed.
(90 minute time commitment)

Preschool Leader
For 2 to 3 year olds.  We provide a lesson book, lesson materials, along plenty of items for engaging them. Looking for adults with a disciple’s heart and a desire to share that with the next generation.

Elementary Leader
Designated into one of 3 classrooms (4 year olds - Kindergarten, 1st-3rd grade, or 4th and 5th grade).  Helping in the Jr. Worship large group session before small group break out.  Lessons scripts and materials provided, not expected to be a bible expert!  Looking for adults with a disciple’s heart and a desire to share that with the next generation.

Team Lead
Looking for an individual who doesn’t mind being silly in front of a silly audience to teach a lesson and a heart for encouraging other volunteers.  This person will be helping engage elementary leaders in presenting a story and lesson before small group lesson time and providing support during. Presentation material and scripts provided.

Activity/ Class Prep
Gathering teaching materials for each classroom for each week.  Materials will be provided and needed materials will be purchased.
(2-3 hours time commitment, one day per month)

Special Events
Volunteers to help run booths, lead groups, or run stations at various events like VBS, Fall Festival, Easter egg hunts, etc.

Student Ministry
Small Group Leader
Comfortable doing activities and lessons with 6th-12th grade students, grouping changes based on student attendance.  Lesson material provided and direction/vision set by the Student Minister.  Looking for adults who desire to get to know students where they are at in their life and provide encouragement that is from a disciple of Christ.

Student Trip Leader
Looking for adults who can spend 2-5 days.  Leading and guiding students to sessions, facilitating discussion and building relationships amongst students while maximizing on what is being taught.

Worship Ministry
Musician
Working alongside the members of the worship and tech team to engage ourselves and the congregation in corporate worship to God. An audition process is required to assess the skill of your instrument.
(3+ hours time commitment)

Vocalist
Working alongside the members of the worship and tech team to engage ourselves and the congregation in corporate worship to God.  An audition process is required to assess your vocal skills.

Communion Team
Help serve communion during our worship services.
(<1 hour time commitment)

Tech Team
Working behind the scenes (front-of-house sound, livestream sound/lights, video and slides) with the members of the tech and worship team to ensure that our in-person and online services are high quality.

Missions Ministry
Global Mission Trips
Be a part of a team that travels to encourage, serve, and build relationships with one of our global missions partners.
(Time commitment varies - trips are usually one week long)

Local Missions Partner
Volunteer to meet the needs of one of our several local missions partners.  These include Pregnancy Resource Center of Brown County, Brown County Christian Academy, and Butler Springs Christian Camp. In addition to these, we also have several missions and outreach projects and events we participate in throughout the year.

Fundraiser Events
Help organize and conduct fundraising opportunities and events that benefit our Missions Partners and support Global Mission Trips.

First Impressions
Greeter/Welcome
Help create an inviting and welcoming environment for all who attend in person. Assist guests and help them get connected.

Coffee Shop
Provide those who meet in person Sunday mornings with an inviting atmosphere where they can enjoy coffee and fellowship with one another.

Security
Ensure our facility is safe and secure on Sunday mornings during all our programs and worship services.

Discipleship
Small Group Leader
Facilitate a small group where people can connect with God’s word and experience community with each other.
No need to be a Bible expert - just need to have a heart for God and His people!

Pastoral Care Team
Help care for and encourage others in our church who are homebound, sick, hospitalized, etc. by calling, visiting, sending cards;
anything that lets them know we are here for and care about them!

Prayer Team
Spend time praying for the needs of our church and community.  Be available to pray with others at our worship gatherings.

Campus Care
Mowing
Assist with mowing the church grounds to maintain a beautiful, inviting campus.

Maintenance
Assist with the general maintenance of our building to ensure that everyone who uses it experiences an excellent facility.
